In COVID times, we offer a mix of online, face-to-face and broadcasts of our face-to-face Ukestras (ZLUs). Click the links for more details.
Current as at 1 October 2020.
Monday Evening – Merewether – in person and broadcast on ZLU – perfect for detailed learning with Jane (and Mark ZLU assistant).
Tuesday Afternoon – Lakemac Ukestra. A long-standing ukestra with Patient John leading in Teralba.
Wednesday Morning – Zookestra – only online at this stage with Jane, Mark and Bec on bass.
Wednesday Afternoon – Tomaree Ukestra – face-to-face/mask-to-mask. COVID-aware uke learning in person at Port Stephens with Mark. You can Zoom into this live session too (a ZLU).
Thursday Night Ukestra – face-to-face/mask-to-mask at the Carrington Bowlo with Mark, Jane and John. Slightly more rambunctious (that’d be the beer/wine factor vs. the daytime coffees). A younger demographic doing the sorts of songs that younger folk like. We ZLU this as well (Zoomed Live Ukestra) so you can zoom in if you choose to.
Friday Arvo – Our online choir – Zookestral Voices. Join Jane, Ruth and Mark in perfect(ish) harmony.
Saturday Morning – Newkestra – a face-to-face/mask-to-mask at the Carrington Bowlo with Jane, Mark and John. Perpetually focussed on being a little easier for newbies, whilst still providing challenges for the more experienced. This is the best option for those who are new to the ukulele. We also Zoom this session to a bunch of online regulars.
Sunday Morning Newkestra – John’s own Newkestra is delivered fresh from the Carrington Bowlo. Back to basics, with some balance for the more experienced.
