All of our ukestras are designed to be welcoming and forgiving for people new to the ukulele. You won’t always get everything, but given time, self forgiveness, resilience, a sense of humour and a love of, and curiosity for, music, then you’ll be fine.

Don’t be scared, don’t rehearse unnecessarily. The set lists are designed to introduce new songs, riffs and musical ideas in amongst good ‘ol singalong songs.  But remember, each song is really just an opportunity to practise some sort of skill, chord progression, or riff. And single chord thumb strums are next to godliness.

The Request Session

It seems the Request Session will be once a month. At this session YOU make a request, from our existing files. If you are a regular, then you should know the link to those files. So make a request either before (by email), or during the session. And because we are now projecting the music (no more printouts), and because most people are on some sort of device, it is easy to pick and choose at the time.

However there are some rules.

1. 1. • • 1. Every person gets a veto right
          2. HOWEVER … the act of a person veto-ing someone else’s request means that the veto-ing person forgoes their right to request.
          3. NOTHWITHSTANDING … if the veto-er garners the veto-votes of 2 additional supporters, the request cancellation rule no longer applies.
          4. There is a further penalty for anyone who has 2 vetoes imposed upon 2 requests: they must go and stand in a nearby hallway or toilet until the next song has elapsed.
