Singing together at last outside!
We are gathering outside (but undercover) at the Railway Sheds at the Foreshore Park (Newcastle East)
So starting next week we will get the band together, and sing at the Railway Sheds in the Foreshore Park of Newcastle (see map with red marker below). There will be a slight change in times because of fading light (Wednesday nights) and heat (Friday afternoons) so please note that below
Wednesday evenings 6-7.30pm -2nd, 9th and 16th December
Fridays afternoons 4-5.30pm -4th, 11th and 18th December.
Bring some water, a music stand (if you have one – optional) and even a cardigan. You will be under cover with a nor-easter blowing, even on hot days. There are public toilets there.
The repertoire is as follows
Wednesday evening 6-7.30pm: Shallow, Tongo, Let it Go, In This Heart, Yil Lull and some Christmas carols (Silver Bells, Silent Night and The Coventry Carol)
Friday afternoon 4-5.30pm: Shallow, It Must Have Been Love, Khumbaya, Tongo, In This Heart, Waterfalls, Yil Lull and some Christmas carols (Silver Bells, Silent Night and The Coventry Carol).
Most Zookestrans and Ukestrans pay through the very affordable ‘Uketen’. Details on that are here. A choir class is the same as a ukestra session ($14.50).
If you don’t yet want to commit to a uketen, you can pay a casual fee of $18 via Direct Deposit.
