Help! I’m stuck inside this non-communal-singing zoo-like cage! I wanna sing with others!
Well, maybe we can arrange it. For want of a more florid imagination, let’s call this disembodied choir Zookestral Voices. It’s the choir you have on Zoom when you can’t have your normal cuddly choir.
We have some really great ideas that we think will work, but first we need to know if you are interested. Fill in the form and let’s keep our singing community together.
Cost is the usual fee, either $20 casual or $15.50 from your prepays.
How will it work?
We reckon it will work like this.
Jane, Mark, (and Ruth! – though from her house) will teach or go over the material with everyone through Zoom. You can see and hear us. But we will also break into tenor/bass, alto and sop groups for learning each part separately. Then we come back together and sing the song. Some parts will have be prerecorded if necessary (generally Ruth’s) to accompany us when we it comes to singing together. Mark will sing the tenor/bass live and Jane will sing the alto part live. That way you have all three, even four parts coming into your living room through your computer. You will sing along with us. Unfortunately nobody will be able to hear you but you will hear the final arrangement with all three parts. Head phones will be useful.
Choir repertoire will be uploaded onto our choir practice page so you know what you are going to sing ahead of time.
