All of our ukestras are designed to be welcoming and forgiving for people new to the ukulele. You won’t always get everything, but given time, self forgiveness, resilience, a sense of humour and a love of, and curiosity for, music, then you’ll be fine.

Don’t be scared, don’t rehearse unnecessarily. Mark will select from these songs, but in no way will we EVER get through all of these songs in a session. Depending upon who shows up, Mark will bespokely tailor the set list to try to meet the needs of every single person who shows up. (Well, some of them). Each song is just an opportunity to practise some sort of skill, chord progression, or riff. Remember, single thumb strums are next to godliness.

Most Ukestrans pay through the very affordable ‘Uketen’. Details on that are here.

If you don’t yet want to commit to a uketen, you can pay a casual fee of $22 cash on the day.

 

 

 

 

The Request Session (13/5/26)

Yes, I think the Request Session will be once a month. At this session YOU make a request, from our existing files. If you are a regular, then you should know the link to those files. So make a request either before (by email), or during the session. And because we are now projecting the music (no more printouts), and because most people are on some sort of device, it is easy to pick and choose at the time.
