Get your weekly fix of relaxed music-making in one of Newcastle’s most convivial bar/cafes.
Thursday nights (7-9pm) at Wil&Sons on Darby St (formerly known as The Hop Factory) is Ukulele Night with the crew who have wreaked ukulele havoc in Newcastle. We started out at The Edwards (vale, after a fire), and we worked with them, and now with Toby at Wil&Sons to provide a ukestra alternative that appealed to a younger demographic than what is usually experienced at uke nights across the world.
Mark and John from The Sum of the Parts (music) lead our newest weekly ukestra (started in May 2017).
This is an easy ukestra, for new players. We start close to the beginning (in fact, just after the beginning) and anyone is welcome to come along to enjoy learning with beer or wine. We’ll be progressing slowly through a bunch of great contemporary songs, some oldies, and on the way you will learn skills, and discover that you can probably sing.
