Cooks Hillians love Cooks Hill, and a lot of us play music. Let’s build community by meeting and making friends (new and old) whilst wandering the streets of Cooks Hill finding lost pieces of talent. By all means! … enjoy a wee tipple or comestible, and BYO chair.

You don’t need to be good. You don’t need to do it for long. You don’t even need to be on this list!

Just do it. On your patch (verandah/lane/home).

2025 Program

BYO – chair/table/beverage/nibbles/listening ears.

10:30-11am – Soul Mates Band

5 piece soul band, playing soul and jazz. Not yet done public gigs, so they are looking forward to a first outing on their verandah! They look great!

North east end of the old cricket pitch (Corlette St, near corner with Parry – beware the butcher bird if riding a bike!).

 

11:15 – The Finnandos Family Band

Cnr Tooke and Corlette – The Fernandos are a family band with son on trumpet, Dad on guitar, and maybe even Grandad joining in! This will be their first gig together.

1:30:  1:50 Jasper and Lucinda

… playing some pieces from their porch on northern end of cricket pitch in Corlette street. Jasper is on trumpet and Lucinda is on keyboard.

2:00pm – 2:45pm – Glenn B

Corlette St, opposite the southeast side of the Reserve (the cricket pitch to some). 

Glenn plays classics from his verandah. The people sit, sip and sup on the grass in the park.

2:55pm – 3:15pm – Local kids play some tunes from Glenn’s Porch

Aidan and Sebastian from The Young Orchestra will perform for around 10 minutes. Aidan on flute and Sebastian on clarinet.

Eddie is playing on keyboard for around 3 minutes.

3:30pm – 4:00pm – Jack n Jel 

Corlette St (on top of the hill between Bull and Parry – down the back).

Mark Jackson and Jane Jelbart – guaranteed to entertain with acoustic originals, maybe an eclectic cover or two and lots of banter!
