Newkulele Festival 9-11th September
We will have two ukestras performing at the festival Saturday 10th Sept; one will be part of Saturday night concert* and the other will be during the day concert on Sunday (10.30am). The repertoire will be easier during the day concert (eg No Kashmir) however we still need all levels on players for both performances. Some songs may not make the grade after a bit of practice.

*NB The Saturday night performers do not get free tickets to the ticketed concert, sorry but the festival can’t afford that.
We will ask for a $25 rehearsal fee – for all performers, regardless of whether you attend one or four rehearsals. We can take that amount from your uketen, but we prefer cash as there is less admin time required from Susan.
We require that you regularly attend ukestras between now and the festival. Turning up for just the rehearsals is not adequate as you will be asked to perform WITHOUT music (no music stands). Clips with prompt cards are accepted and encouraged. We would love our zoom students to be part of our gig so we will zoom our rehearsals for you!
