Amidst all the ‘fun’ songs we use Ukulele in the Classroom as our formal teaching text. In the end, kids often find the formal, more challenging stuff more exciting. It is probably just that everyone really likes learning and achieving!
Information and resources for currently enrolled children
We currently are working on Caney Mi Macaro,Fais Dodo (in C and then F), and Elenke (in Bb). All of this is to get the children’s reading skills and music theory happening. We also frequently play and polish Riptide and Royals. Examples of these songs are on the videos web page.
Olli and any other adventurous types may want to try the following.
Drink to me only with thine eyes
Don’t be tricked by the simplicity of this song. Work it. Feel it. Make it sweet.
