Please join us on Sunday 23 September for an intimate house concert in Shoal Bay, featuring...
Australian ukulele virtuoso AJ Leonard and sublime cellist Jenny Rowlands
Multi instrumentalist, arranger and recording artist A.J. Leonard is one of Australia's pioneer ukulele players and is widely acknowledged as among the best in the world.
Cellist Jenny Rowlands has performed professionally throughout the classical scene in Australia.
AJ and Jenny have performed and conducted workshops at major festivals and ukulele retreats across Australia, New Zealand and the USA. They are a true melding of musical minds, known for their unique ukulele/cello interplay and finely crafted arrangements. Click the photo to take you to AJ's website.
Supported by Hunter multi-instrumentalist duo Jack n Jel
Jack n Jel is the performing name for ukestra maestros Mark Jackson and Jane Jelbart.
Together they have toured the beaches of Newcastle, Hawai'i, British Columbia and Iceland, giving workshops in all sorts of things including ukulele and surf life saving skills (not so much the latter).
They are known for beautiful renditions of their own songs and ones written by oft-times better composers (including AJ Leonard!). Cheeky, cute, and likeable. Guaranteed to be enjoyed. Click the barefeet to listen to their CD.
